Agency UK runs on tight deadlines and unpredictable demand. Last-minute briefs arrive often, and each one needs specialist technical skills that aren't always available in-house.
"Time is not our friend with a lot of the projects that we undertake," says Sammy. "We get a lot of last-minute requests, as most agencies do. We have to be able to react to that."
Sourcing that talent independently had become a burden. "To be able to consistently find, manage and vet technical capability and have that on tap whenever we need it, which is often at short notice, becomes very difficult and labour-intensive to manage," he says.
Prodigi's fractional model gave Agency UK a different option. Rather than committing to permanent hires or scrambling for freelancers, they can access vetted technical talent at pace and scale it up or down as projects require. "The partnership allows us to tap into that resource quickly and flexibly," Sammy says.
The quality has matched the speed. "The technical capability that's been offered and the level of talent has been exceptional," he says. "We need access to the highest level of talent, and we have reassurance that whenever we tap into a technical resource, there is a high standard of capability that comes with that."
For an agency where demand can spike without warning, fractional hiring has become essential. "We have times of the year where we need to increase the team's scale by 20%, and this is by far and away the best way of doing that," Sammy says. "We haven't come across any other organisation that has such rapid access to that talent pool at that high level of capability."
