Napier is an integrated agency built for B2B technology companies. When one of the team left, Mike Maynard needed a replacement fast.
"We wanted to find someone who we could have up to speed really quickly," he says. That urgency pushed Napier to try something new. "We actually felt it was a good thing to try offshoring talent as well. We realised there's a lot of talent around the world."
Working with Prodigi, Maynard says: "I think one of the best things about the process was we didn't receive a lot of irrelevant or poor quality CVs. We just got a couple of candidates, both of whom would be good fits, and it was just a case of choosing the better of two great options."
Napier was hiring for a paid media specialist, broadly a paid media role, and the candidate they chose was Jovan. "He came with a lot of expertise, but also, and perhaps most excitingly, he actually came with an enthusiasm to learn, and he's keen to actually expand the role, which has been great."
Maynard sets that against Napier's usual UK hiring: "Previously we've only recruited in the UK, and there we found that sometimes we get CVs that are not relevant. We get pushed to interview people who maybe don't have the level of qualification we want. So for us it was great because we got somebody who was clearly not only talented but also experienced, and it was just a very simple process."
Asked whether he'd recommend Prodigi, Maynard goes further. "I wouldn't just recommend Prodigi. I'd actually recommend that people experiment with hiring offshore. There's a lot of talent in countries all around the world, and just recruiting locally, I think really limits your talent pool."
