Seventy Seven Collective use WordPress and Shopify developers through Prodigi's fractional service. Agency workloads don't run at a constant pace, and full-time developer hires don't always make sense.
"Our business goes in ebbs and flows," says Darrell. "We get one or two websites, three at a time sometimes. Some are in the design phase, some in the build, some in revisions. We don't always have 40 hours a week worth of work to give a developer."
Access to 20 hours a week of fractional development time solved that. "It really enables us to still deliver, be timely," he says. "Our clients are really happy with our turnaround rates, but we're not burning through hours where a developer is just sitting there with not much to do."
That flexibility has fed straight into how the agency prices work. "The access to on-demand talent has definitely changed how we can approach pricing projects," Darrell says. "It really helps our pricing model." When projects stack up, they increase the hours.
Darrell credits Prodigi's agency background for the fit. "They've managed their own agency, so they understand what the needs are and how that fits into pricing models, work scopes, time scopes," he says. "The interview process is smooth, the talent they put in front of you is great."
